Particleboard is made from larger wood particles, making it lighter and more economical. MDF uses finer fibres for a smoother face and cleaner machined edges. Both are interior, non-structural panels.
NAUF means no added urea formaldehyde. ULEF means ultra-low-emitting formaldehyde. Both suit projects with strict indoor air quality targets.
Yes. Fire-retardant panels such as Duraflake® VESTA are treated throughout, so they stay classified after cutting.
Moisture-resistant grades are made for humid rooms under laminate or TFL. Standard particleboard should be kept away from direct moisture.
