Baltic Birch plywood is uniquely manufactured with multiple plies of Birch veneer used uniformly, throughout the panel. Each layer of birch veneer is peeled at 1.3mm or 1.5mm thickness giving the panel a multi-ply edge that is both aesthetically attractive, and offers unmatched strength and stability.
Baltic Birch is available in a wide range of standard thickness variations from 3mm to 25mm, and sheet sizes of 5’x5’, 4’x8’ and 10’x5’. Special thickness and tolerances are available for laminating face veneers on cross grain platforms and for flat die board applications. Baltic Birch plywood offers a virtually void-free construction to help reduce reject rates and offers great machinability and tremendous screw holding strength.

Particleboard is made from wood particles bonded with resin under heat and pressure into a flat, dimensionally stable panel. Smooth sanded faces take laminate, TFL and veneer well, and the panel's consistency keeps production lines running without surprises. Nicholson Cates supplies particleboard from Uniboard and Arauco Duraflake®, including grades for fire, moisture and low-emission requirements.
NC's specialty particleboard range lets manufacturers match the core to the job. It includes countertop and door-core grades, Class A fire-rated panels for public buildings, moisture-resistant board for kitchens and baths, and ultra-low-emission options for healthcare and green-building projects.

Medium density fibreboard (MDF) is made from refined wood fibres bonded under heat and pressure into a dense, even panel. With no grain, knots or voids, it cuts, routes and finishes the same way sheet after sheet. That makes it a staple for cabinet, furniture and millwork shops.
Some jobs need more than a standard panel. NC's specialty MDF range covers thin high-density board, fire-retardant and moisture-resistant grades, and no-added-urea-formaldehyde panels.
